Nature from Indonesia to The World
Indonesia’s locally farmed herbs and palm sugar, produced by Karisha Nusantara, is a culinary gem with deep cultural roots and sustainable practices.
Our History
The initial inspiration came from owner’s desire to preserve and continue grandmother’s recipes. As a child, she often accompanied her to buy spices. She would watch and help her grind the spices using an iron lumping, a traditional tool from back then. The spices were pounded, sifted, and then packaged in small plastic bags. Each bag was labeled simply by hand. These early experiences left a lasting impression on owner’s heart, fostering a deep appreciation for the careful process and rich flavors of grandmother’s traditional recipes.
We began our production and sales journey in March 2024, initially offering powdered palm sugar and gulai spices. Building on this foundation, we expanded our product line in April 2024 to include rendang spices. This phased approach allowed us to refine our processes and ensure the highest quality for each product before introducing the next.

Locally Farmed Palm Sugar
Harvested from the sap of palm trees and processed using traditional methods, this natural sweetener boasts a rich, caramel-like flavor profile and retains minerals like potassium and zinc. The production process, which respects the environment by not harming the palm trees, supports rural livelihoods and promotes biodiversity. As global interest in healthy, natural ingredients rises, Karisha Nusantara’s Indonesian palm sugar stands out for its unique taste and ethical production, showcasing Indonesia’s rich biodiversity and sustainable farming practices to the world.

Karisha Nusantara’s commitment to quality and tradition is evident in every step of their production process. The palm sugar production starts with farmers collecting sap from palm trees using traditional methods.

After reaching the right level of ripeness, it’s crystalized, poured into molds to solidify into blocks, or added a certain amount of liquid to achieve a certain viscosity of liquid palm sugar

The careful process preserves the sugar’s natural qualities and ensures consistent quality, offering consumers a delicious product made with ethical practices using advanced machinery
